ORLANDO, Fla. – At its annual Gala Concert held earlier this month, Casa de Mexico de la Florida Central, Inc. honored pediatric ophthalmologists Robert S. Gold, M.D., F.A.A.P., and Louis C. Blumenfeld, M.D., F.A.A.P., of Eye Physicians of Central Florida for care they have provided to children of local Mexican farm workers and laborers.; Dr. Gold and Dr. Blumenfeld have performed surgeries to correct vision problems, improving these children’s sight and quality of life.
“We became involved with Casa de Mexico because we believe every child should have access to quality health care” said Dr. Blumenfeld.; “And as physicians who specialize in the unique eye care needs of children, we know the important role good vision plays in a child’s ability to learn and thrive.”
Casa de Mexico is a non profit organization that promotes the rich culture and traditions of Mexico in Orlando and throughout Central Florida.; Their primary charitable focus is to provide assistance to Mexican farm workers and laborers in the areas of health and education, particularly for women and children.
