Eye Physicians of Central Florida Welcomes Pediatric Ophthalmologist Rebecca J. Adams, M.D., F.A.A.P.

ORLANDO, Fla.  Eye Physicians of Central Florida is pleased to announce that pediatric ophthalmologist Rebecca J. Adams, M.D., F.A.A.P., is joining the practice November 15, 2011. Dr. Adams is board-certified and has 30 years of experience as a pediatric ophthalmologist in Georgia and New Jersey.  She specializes in the examination and treatment of eye conditions in children, including eye muscle disorders, amblyopia or lazy eye, decreased vision, allergies and injuries.

Dr. Adams completed her fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia and her ophthalmology residency at Ohio State University Hospitals in Columbus. She performed her internship at Mount Carmel Medical Center also in Columbus and earned her medical degree at Ohio State University.

Dr. Adams is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.

Dr. Adams will see patients in Eye Physicians of Central Florida’s Maitland and MetroWest offices. “I am thrilled to join the dedicated physicians of EPCF and to provide children's eye care services in the Orlando Metro area,” said Dr. Adams. “I am lucky to work in a field where I can truly make a lifelong improvement in a child's life.”
